Antony Fangary is a Coptic-American Writer and Artist living in San Francisco. He was awarded the 2023 National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship and is the author of HARAM (Etched Press 2019). His poetry has recently appeared or is forthcoming in Gulf Coast, New American Writing, The Sycamore Review, West Branch, and elsewhere. Antony's paintings have been featured in Art Shows and Galleries around San Francisco and Los Angeles.
 
 Antony was Finalist in the 2022 National Poetry Series, Honorable Mention in the Ina Coolbrith Poetry Prize, Finalist in the 2019 Wabash Poetry Prize, Runner-up in the 2020 Test Site Poetry Series Book Prize, and has been nominated for multiple Pushcart Prizes.

His work has received support from the National Endowment for the Arts, the San Francisco Arts Commission, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, and the Center for Cultural Innovation. 
 
Antony holds a Master of Fine Arts from San Francisco State University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Davis.
